In a rural community, the school library plays a crucial role in supporting student success. The purpose of this project is to revitalize our school library program. We plan to achieve this by implementing engaging reading incentives for students, such as library bingo and student reading awards, as well as updating our library collection. Serving approximately 150 students in grades 4-12, it is our hope that these enhancements will boost library usage and encourage regular reading habits among students.

Participants compete in categories such as reading comprehension, spelling, and speed. We're adding a Chinese New Year theme, featuring activities like a Braille scavenger hunt and taste-testing traditional foods to create a vibrant atmosphere that reinforces braille skills while encouraging participation and cultural appreciation.
EZ Shake Table
Kathy Sells - Holy Family Catholic School, Coeur d' Alene
$240.50
I am seeking a grant to purchase an EZ Shake Table to enhance my physical science unit with an emphasis on hands-on learning. An EZ Shake Table is a tool that simulates earthquake tremors. Students will build structures and test them on the EZ Shake Table to learn about physical science, Earth science, and building geometry. With the current Next Generation Science Standards, the Engineering Design Process is emphasized. The EZ Shake Table will allow the students to build, test, and reinforce their structure to see how much weight it can successfully hold. I am committed to creating an engaging, interactive, hands-on approach to teaching science that will get my students excited about learning. This tool will help me achieve my goal.

Ukuleles for Music Class
Bill Maxwell - Pinecrest Academy Twin Falls, Twin Falls
$800.00
Purchase of a set of Baritone Ukuleles for use with all grades. My school has been in existence for 3 years. They have never had music before! This is the first year our school was able to begin a music program. I have taught for 20 plus years and am planning on continuing and growing a solid music program. My school was able to buy some items I needed to get the program going, but didn't have the money for bigger more costly instruments.
